Dis ook nou al ‘n tydjie sedert ons ongelooflike toer saam met julle.
Die tyd tussen 18 en 26 Oktober 2025 het ons opinie oor die Karoo handomkeer verander. Wat ons gedink het is net ‘n báie droë deel van ons land, het ons deur Slowdown Tours en Daniël, ‘n heeltemal ander perspektief van hierdie besondere landstreek gekry. Die professionele manier waarop julle-nie net inligting nie-met hierdie toer te werk gegaan het, was uitstekend. Die saamkuier aan die einde van die dag, lekker kos en verblyf op verskillende plase is ‘n wenner. Baie dankie dat ons hierdie besondere toer kon mee maak.

Baie dankie aan Slowdowntoursa vir 'n wonderlike Junie '25 Karootoer. Dit het ons asem weggeblaas. Van begin tot einde was dit 'n ontdekkingsreis deur skouspelagtige landskaptonele, majestieuse berge, klowe, poorte en bergpasse. Ons was bevoorreg om die grootsheid van die natuur in die grootste en in die kleinste formaat te sien en is ook bederf met 'n voortdurende vloei van die allerheerlikste disse en peuselhappies deur die toerchef. Die lekker kuiers saans om 'n kaggelvuur was baie gesellig. Die deurlopende kundige inligting van ons toerleier het gesorg dat daar geen vervelige oomblik was nie en het bygedra om te help verstaan hoe elke enkele onderdeeltjie van die natuurelemente inpas in die brose samehang en interafhanklikheid van ons skouspelagtige skepping. Die toerspan is uiters professioneel en behulpsaam en het ons heeltyd op die hande gedra en bederf. Die toer is deur en deur die moeite werd en word hoog aanbeveel.

The Karoo Mountains and stars tour was a revelation: it uncovered hidden gems in an area which I thought I knew and enabled me to connect deeply with the generosity and vulnerability of the area and its people. Daniel and his team exemplify these values and are convincing ambassadors of this underrated yet beautiful part of South Africa.

Going on the Mountains and Stars Tour with Daniel and his team was an amazing adventure and authentic Karoo experience! The well-designed tour takes you through spectacular mountains and passes, visiting historic places and a working farm at the end of the road. The nature views and sunsets are simply breathtaking, and the stargazing is excellent. I can highly recommend this trip - the vastness of the experience is both humbling and exhilarating.

I managed to 'slow-down' and the Karoo was revealed to me through our host Daniel's eyes, from its hidden starfish plants to its star-laden Milky Way skies.

Besides the magnificent landscape, highlights included Hugo's catering, the quality and variety of accommodation and meeting farmers who so generously shared their way of life with us. I loved every minute!

Wat n ongelooflike toer...ons het die Klein en Groot Karoo met AL ons sintuie ervaar. En weereens besef hoe groot en asemrowend God se skepping is. Die toerspan was uiters professioneel en het ons heerlik bederf. Dankie Slowdowntoursa...ons is TROTS SUID-AFRIKAANS!!

To experience vastness; see stones/rocks burnt black by the unrelenting sun; getting bathed in the intensity of breathtaking sunsets; experience the sound of silence… dust settling on my skin…stop…breathe…appreciate! This tour captures all…every moment..every heartbeat of the Karoo.

It was an unforgettable and one of its kind experience. This tour will stay in my mind for a long time. Thank you so much for making this possible!

What an absolutely wonderful tour which allows you the opportunity to soak in the Karoo in all her glory and beauty. On this tour one realizes how brutal, yet soft the Karoo can be. If you appreciate nature, and can appreciate the smaller details in the vastness, this one is for you.
